Our Atmosphere

Step inside and you're surrounded by 1950s and classic-Hollywood memorabilia, right down to the menu — nearly every dish carries the name of a screen or music legend, from Dion's Famous Meatball Sandwich to John Wayne's Steak Salad and The Godfather's Italian Delights. Out back, our deck looks over the kind of scenery that makes people linger over a milkshake a little longer than planned.

We're a fun, unpretentious stop — the kind of place families, road-trippers, and car & motorcycle clubs come back to again and again.

Knights Ferry: Gold Rush Roots

Knights Ferry was established in 1849 when William Knight set up a trading post and ferry crossing on the Stanislaus River during the California Gold Rush — making this one of the oldest continuously recognized communities in the Sierra foothills.

Just down the road, the Knight's Ferry covered bridge (built 1863–64) is a U.S. National Historic Landmark and the longest covered bridge west of the Mississippi River. Visitors have been stopping in this corridor for well over 150 years — we're proud to be part of that tradition today.
